Abstract
The physical environment of school classrooms is influenced by factors such as the size of furniture, air conditioning, color, lighting, temperature, noise, and cleanliness. The advantages of optimal organization of the physical environment are highlighted, as well as the negative effects of lack of organization. The main components of the ergonomic dimension of the classroom are described: the shape of the classroom, the surface and volume, the lighting and ventilation, the arrangement of the furniture and the school arrangement, the visibility, and the decoration of the classroom. Knowledge of the determining factors of the organization of the school educational environment offers the possibility of improving them and achieving academic success for students.
